All Star Freight Traffic Service, Inc. was founded in 2000 by our President, and CEO Phil Sinicropi.
Phil’s industry experience began in 1978 when he drove a truck for Prima Trucking while in college. The night runs to Philadelphia, and New York City allowed him a part time job while studying Aviation at Mercer County College. The Airline deregulation act prevented a career in Aviation, but the truck driving experience opened the door to a surface transportation job. After graduation, the owner of Prima offered Phil a job as his first salesman in the NJ, NY, and PA metro area. As a salesman, Phil tripled the size of the Company. He was promoted to General Manager where he developed operational procedures, sales strategies, and regulatory compliances that propelled Prima into a premier local transportation provider. During his stay at Prima, Phil earned a Transportation and Traffic Management Certificate at the prestigious Academy of Advanced Traffic.
After 7 years of failed promises of ownership at Prima, Phil parted company and took on various jobs as a Motor Carrier Rep for Rutgers Express, Riteway Express, P*I*E Nationwide, Yellow Freight, and Roadway Express. Always overachieving, during these years, while raising a family Phil pursued his educational goals at Saint John’s University, and in 1989 he earned a BA in Transportation and Logistics Management. Phil wanted to pursue his business ownership dream so he became a Commissioned Agent in 1998. The Agency prospered, and in 2000 Phil obtained a Broker’s License and All Star Freight Traffic Service was born.
Mr. Sinicropi founded All Star Freight Traffic Service on 3 basic tenants: Never Assume, Attention to Details, and Intimate knowledge of all shipments at all times. These 3 tenants have proven to be key factors in performing on time service and have distinguished All Star Freight as a premium third party intermediary. After 2 years in business All Star Freight was awarded “Gold Book” status by the prestigious Compunet Credit service. Through Fiscal disciplines, All Star Freight had elevated itself as one of the top 1,000 Freight Brokers in North America.
